The Bantam Lake Yacht Club

The Bantam Lake Yacht Club,
founded in 1933, looks out over a sprawling green
lawn at the South Bay of Bantam Lake just south of Litchfield in
North Western Connecticut. For almost 100 years, families have
enjoyed this close community in which to race small sailboats, socialize, and relax.
We race every Sunday afternoon, generally in a mixed fleet, very low-key,
with no protests. We also run "around the lake" race July 4th and the French Cup Race
over Labor Day. In addition, organized sunfish and windmill regattas are also held each season.

Members keep their boats on yacht club grounds and launch from the beach
 or from the dock-mounted lift.
The club also owns several small sailboats for members and their guests,
and sailing instruction is available for juniors ( 9 - 18) and adults. This is organized
through the Litchfield Parks and Recreation Dept and starts June 16th
The club is located on Yacht Club Passageway, just off East Shore Road in Morris.
